On behalf of the technical program committee (TPC), it is a great pleasure to announce that the second International Conference and Exhibition on Visible Light Communications (ICEVLC2018), 16 March 2018, in Yokohama was successfully held. We had fruitful discussions of VLC and related topics, including exciting research presentations and exhibitions of underwater VLC.

We thank four invited speakers, Prof. Zhengyuan Xu (University of Science and Technology of China), Dr. Takao Sawa (Japan Agency for the Marine-earth Science and Technology), Prof. Nan Chi (Fudan University, P.R. China), and Prof. Masao Nakagawa (Keio University) for sharing their thoughts on VLC. We also thank technical sessions speakers and exhibitors.

Twenty years of research progress make VLC attractive not only to researchers but also to practitioners, and we really hope that the conference and exhibition help you to proceed further. In fact, the broom of Cherry blossom was announced the same day of the conference, and I believe we are on a right path to the success.
