We are currently focusing on technologies for open education as a part of the Education Planning and Development Center, Institute of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Nagoya University.
Our focus includes the design and development of OpenCourseWare (OCW), open educational resources (OER), active learning, and flipped classrooms.
We also conduct research on wireless communication systems, together with members of the Katayama laboratory, as a part of the Department of Information and Communication Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering, Nagoya University.
Here, our focus is on the development of new communication systems in view of the fact that some interesting phenomena or devices have not been used in traditional radio wireless technology. They include stochastic resonance (SR) and its use for sub-threshold signal detection and visible-light communication using high-speed image sensors (image-sensor communications, ISC).
